Rays seem to be a popular play tonight, which is why I also like the idea of taking the Angels.

Next time you need a pic look for a guy that has what's called a "write up" with something backing up his play. I don't do them often as I don't always feel VERY confident in a play, but I'm 3-0 on the year and made a good amount just on those 3 plays.

Why wouldn't one like the angels?
Cobb is an unproven nobody, who's beyond wild, yes, he's a strike out artist, but he's a walk machine.
Haren is a proven stud ace, and TB in over 150 at bats
Get season, career, team, splits, streak, span, player comparison data and a lot more from the most powerful research tool in sports, Stathead.com
Can't touch him, unless you are BJ Upton, and he can't do it alone.

Haren, yes. This thread was talking about yesterday, Price/Chatwood.
Haren is a solid pick tonight, IMO, even at the chalky -165.

Agree in theory SK, but this Angels team is garbage right now offensively and not getting any better.

So far this season, Cobb's only effective pitch has been his curveball. His fastball doesn't have a lot of movement on it and his changeup has not been consistent (although I hear it's great when he's got it going). He doesn't have his confidence yet at the major league level. I see him being chased from the game inside the first 5 by an Angels team that will be amped up to get off to a fast start after yesterday.
Haren has owned the Rays in his career, and is pitching as well this year as he did in 2009. He's got 4 above average pitches and the cutter and curve are completely dialed in right now. I think he goes 7+ today, and Tampa will have a hard time getting anything going against him. I'm hoping for some run support, but even in a low scoring game, Haren has a big edge here.
