Just wondering if anyone knows stats or info regarding teams coming off long travel days. We see all the time during the course of an NBA or NHL season teams wearing down due to travel, and I was just wondering if it impacts baseball players as well (even though the game is less physically demanding then hockey or basketball).
I thought of this because Tampa is in Seattle the next couple days, with no rest day beforehand, and considering the flight between tampa and seattle is about as long as you can get in the mlb, can we expect the Rays to be 'sluggish' at least in the first game ??
