Who is on the Cardinals to get the sweep @ Padres tonight?

I just can't bet on those Padres. They are horrible and can make Carpenter, who has a mediocre season, to look like a CY candidate.

i have a long standing rule to always fade stl when going for a 3 game sweep (look it up over the last few years, they dont do it often).

i am breaking my rule because this price is just to nice like the rest of the series and it house money today.

Yeah, somehow Cards seem to have mercy in a series after leading 2-0 especially away from home. But damn, this Padres can't hit to save their life. I think 2 runs should be enough for the Cardinals.

think it has a lot to do with Larussa'a attitude, always preaching "just win series". but i agree i think Cards will get a few early for Carp and he will shine against a team that struggles to hit BP. they are on fire and you would think this is as good a spot as any to get Carp back on track.

also threw less than 100 pitches his last start, last time that happened his next start was 7 scoreless in la. his velocity isnt down so i still think he has it in him, what has been killing him is walks and errors (stl has really cut down on them during this streak, actually playing pretty good d as of late besides our ss who cost us 2 runs last night).

if he cant do it here i give up, on the bright side the games Cards have won he pitched were also nice low lines like this one.
