Watching Joba go 5 innings, only to see the bullpen blow the game?

Oh I'm so psyched, he was either getting the go Monday or Tuesday.. Do you really think he'll only go 5, I haven't heard the official plan but if he's rolling along can't his arm hold up a full 6 or maybe even 7 with his increased conditioning?

Got to figure he's working a bit harder even when he's not in game.. They should also have a boost offensively with him out there and give him some run support, I would hope.. Thinking they'll be -140..

65-70 pitch limit, right? Really tough to go more than 5 under those conditions, particularly for a strikeout pitcher like Joba.

Kid's obviously going to be really good. Should be interesting.

Really difficult line to set. There are many variables to play out before Tuesday, but as of now I'd estimate Yanks -130. Halladay was +145 against Wang on opening day... Can't see Joba commanding that type of respect, especially considering the restrictions on his pitch count.

You're getting in my head a little now, I really had a feeling he'd turn in a solid performance even if it went 6 innings, but if it's a close game I don't trust the bullpen honestly. I trust Farnsworth enough in an 8th inning spot with everything lined up for him, but Joba isn't ready to go that far.

If the bats show up it doesn't really matter, then again they may have to REALLY show up with some of the leads that have been coughed up lately. Watching baseball makes me sick. Anyway good luck tomorrow, will have to check in here and see what you're on for Tuesday.
