CLE +112 on Monday: weird line
Indians open at +104 and immediately go to +112. They're red-hot, Masterson's been very steady and has allowed 1 run and 6 hits in 15 career IP vs. Boston, I know Buchholz is coming on but he's beatable, Tribe at home -- I have to be missing something here, because my instincts say pound them.

like it, no co... your instincts sound
very solid. thinking about the indians @ +112, too.
maybe even the RRL to win one...

So why is he +112 at home pitching for a red-hot team?

Cleveland was +230, +161, and +153 in Masterbations last three starts vs Boston. The line has been adjusted considerably.

it is not like cle has been getting the upmost respect from the books as of yet so i wouldnt really worry about what the line does or starts at. sometimes i think ppl wanna make more out of lines than is really there. not that line moves are not a tool but sometimes i think it just gets in some guys heads.

dont really have time to get to far into this game right now but i know you wont be catching me fading cle at home very often right now.

Masterson is deadly against right handed batters, but cant get out a left handed batter to save his life. Been that way throughout his entire career. Boston is a line-up of almost all left handed batters. Masterson is going to get pounded tonight, probably 6+ runs in 5 innings. Not a coincidence (no pun intended) Masterson's one bad start came against a line-up where 7 of the 9 hitters where left handed or switch. Also is easy to steal against, Ellsbury and Crawford will have a field day with that.

                                Boston ML, RL, FF, TTOver

I'd say the game is 50/50, so +112 is a decent value, but the Red Sox are hot winning 8 of 9 I believe

                                      I took the Over.

Wind is blowing directly out from Home plate @ gusts up to 17mph.

And every game Masterbation has played vs Boston has gone over for the past three years.

Buchholz is 3-0, 1.40 in his last four starts. Masterson has a 3.05 RA in his last three starts, but Indians lost all three, scoring five runs

Line makes sense. Boston being red hot as well, winning 8 of their last 9.

seems like red sox being favored says a lot, not like Indians are playing bad. THink I will be on the sox tonight

While masterson has been pitching great, lefties BA against him are batting somewhere around .330ish with an .880 OPS (7 of the 9 red sox hitters hit from the left). Granted he is 2-0 with only 1 ER in 14 IP vs his old team but I think he gets hit tonight. Red sox also got swept earlier this season by the tribe so probably time for a little payback. Indians also missing 2 top position players in Hafner and Grady. I think red sox win tonight, btw this is comming from a huge indians fan

The Sawx are finally looking as advertised. A-gon, youk, ortiz, ellsbury are all on fire. If we get ANY production from crawford and our catchers in this series Boston should take it. Masterson has great stuff, but he is due for a bad start against the Sox. Masterson's a ground ball guy, anything he leaves up tonight I feel like Boston will make him pay, and Buchholtz has been very very good his past couple outings. I'm liking the under if you can get it at 8.5
