Lincecum - good value play for Saturday

This is my first posted play of the year, new to these forums. He is very good at bounce-back games, Giants are home and their hitting is underrated as some of their players are coming out of slumps. This is generally close to the highest I would pay for a favorite. I feel like the line is only slightly lower than it should be.




Background:

I ran my own book for 5 years in Brooklyn from 1993-1998. It was pre- internet. I learned a lot. I retired and studied medicine. Last few years I've been playing poker and studying baseball.

I think all the value lies with Brett Anderson at +130 or more. That guy can pitch, and although I hate going against Lincecum, the Giants just won yesterday and I like the A's to bounceback tonight....bol...

SF is 9-4 L-13 vs. OAK, and the home team is 11-2 L-13.

I'd take lincecum against a lacking offense any day... problem is SF bats need to show up just in case

Giants have sucked vs. lefties for a while and Anderson is a GOOD lefty. Lincecum is 3-4 because the Giants haven't scored for him and they give him much support vs. Anderson either.

A's +136 for me.

Timmy the Freak coming off a horrific start in Coors Field is back at home in SF......too tough of a combo there to go against Lincy in this spot

Besides, Timmy has OWNED the A's in his career....something like 6-0 w/ an ERA in the high 1's

Giants have their mojo back working this week after 2 nice road wins vs. Dodgers plus last night's walk-off win in 10 innings

Giants RL -1.5 @ +170 looks really nice to me.....also playing ML too

Looks like a 4-1 Giants win tonight

Thank you sir...you have just convinced me to play Oakland by using the word "lock."

Seriously though, with over 70% on SF ml, I like my chances with Anderson +130. It's only one play. If it loses, it loses. But if it wins, I get a good payout. All trends are meant to get broken. SF's dominance at home against Oakland tells me Oakland is due. Good luck.

Thanks Van, its nice to win your first posted educated guess. I was a little concerned about those of you with -1.5 runs as the Giants lead the league in 1 run games, but they did it. Congrats. Sorry for the Oakland money, and I appreciate the differing views. I wish I studied totals as the under was a great call.
