Arizona (Owings over Glavine) (WSEX +105) (1 unit to win 1.05 units)
ChiCubs (Lilly over Maholm) (WSEX -123) (1.23 units to win 1 unit)
Adding (10:39 AM CDT):
ChiCubs/Pirates OVER 8.5 WSEX (1.1 units to win 1 unit).....Can't quite grasp this line so I'm gonna pay to see this if it can go under. I don't see how it can.
Posting YTD: 3-3 (-0.02 units)
Brief WriteUp:
Arizona over Atlanta: I had this capped at Owings -105 so this is a bit of a value play here for me. Glavine hasn't been particularly spectacular but the Braves are going to need to ask Glavine to go more than his customary 5 innings here. After the bullpen depletion yesterday due to Campillo only going 4 innings, the Braves are going to need Glavine to give a solid effort here. Taking a chance with positive money back on the D'Backs.
ChiCubs over Pirates: Lilly started as a -135 opening line fav and, surprisingly to me, Pittsburgh is getting the money and the line has come down. Pittsburgh has been somewhat weak against lefties; Cubs need a quality start out of Lilly after the 14 inning marathon last night. Pittsburgh starting pitching has been atrocious all year; Pirates need a good effort out of Maholm; if 2008 Pirates starting pitching data is a good indicator, the odds are the Pirates won't get a good effort out of Maholm.
