can someone tell me why they say walkoff homerun? what does that mean and when does it happen?

Basically when the home team hits a home run to win the game...ex would be down 1 in the bottom of the 9th and they hit a 2-run homer.Comment -
It's a game-winning homer. In other words, after it's hit both teams "walk off" the filed cause the game's over. It can only happen in the 9th or extra innings.Comment -
