WOW -- stealing money on RED SOX betting all on RED SOX
Weedend games are tough to hold because of the many afternoo games then night games, then late games.

Tonight i'm holding on just 1 game.

    It's so easy it's a joke

The RED SOX are -130. I'm betting $4,500 on the RED SOX to win.

I love it when books screw up.

If I was to look at the other games though, I would think TIGERS, YANKEES are other good locks.

But today, the RED SOX is the only game i'm going on.

      Good Luck Peach.

Personally as an A's fan I am on the other side.

Sox played on Thursday on the east coast then traveled
cross country to play last night. It showed and now
come back the day after when it really effects a team
      on the journey.

That has to be the cause of the low line and I gotta believe
it has to impact the Sox.

We shall see how tired the Sox are of if Beckett just does
      his job it wont matter.

Travel is totally irrelevant especially since this is their second day out on the west coast and not to mention that these guys are professionals....what do you think they do on a plane? They just sleep dude. You're telling me a group of professional baseball players are so impacted by a 4 hour flight and a 3 hour time change that they can't win a ball game?

A better explanation as to why the line is going down is that maybe BOS is a considerably weaker team on the road (9-14, -6.4 units) and their starting pitcher boasts an ERA close to 5 (4.67 ERA and has really struggled his last 3 starts with an ERA of 5.49) Conversely, OAK's starting pitcher has an ERA of exactly 2 runs better (2.67...an even more stellar 2.25 home ERA) and the fact that OAK has one of the best pen's in the league.

I don't think travel is relevant in game 2 of a series...possibly game 1 of a series but at this point everyone on the Red Sox's has had 2 nights to sleep in OAK and should be well adjusted. Conisder that BOS has already played games in Japan and Canada. I wouldn't make a bet on or against them based on the impact of travel!

oh, and I don't think this is "stealing money' at all for all the reasons I laid out in the previous post.

In fact, I am very surprised BOS even opened up as the favorite in this game. As i thought we might see a line closer to -105/-105 or so. If anything, wagering on the A's as + money tonight would seem more of a steal tonight win or lose. I took OAK at +130 as soon as it opened up. They may lose, but BOS -140 should not have been the opening price on this game.

good points BB, i stayed away from this one, i know Boston has the bats and Beckett is solid at times, but Oak is pretty good also. i just couldn't take a chance on Boston having some game time decision to rest 1-2 key players, they do that sometimes on the road.

                    Sorry about the loss Peach.

Yeah BuddyBear the Red Sox sure didnt look tired tonight
                    giving Manny the day off.

Just because they are professional ballplayers doesnt make
them less tired from dragging their asses everyday and
                    traveling.

It was just an opinion dude, didnt say that was a reason to
bet on or against. Just wasnt worth a huge wager imo.

With all do respect, your entire post was based on travel consideration? Maybe I am missing something I guess but I just don't think travel has anything to do with it especially in GM 2 of a series since they've slept in OAK now 2 nights.

                      Good luck.....
