Away team finishes series, then goes home

Away team finishes series, then goes home, and plays the next day. Depending how far they travel, time zones, etc. Is it a good idea to bet the team or stay way, even if the team is doing well?

You've only left about a thousand other variables out of your question. The mere fact that a baseball teams plays an away game one day and a home game the next has nothing to do with anything.
