Texas. Hamilton has been solid for both his big league years. Hamilton is now showing mvp superstar form. He's always a threat at the plate.

Volquez never produced in Texas, lots of potential never realized there.

I'd make that trade today, knowing there individual levels.

It worked out well for both teams... at least that's how I see it now. Volquez has a ton of upside and if can consistently produce like he is pitching this year, he'll be a heck of a pitcher. Like MBS said, Hamilton is deadly at the plate. It also helps that he is in Texas' friendly hitting ballpark. Deal helped both teams.

True it is a win win deal. But which player would you want straight out, Hamilton for me.

Cueto has been lights out too, but has less of a track record with success.

With both players looking like they're both going to be good, I don't get why Texas made the trade. They've been desperate for a good pitcher FOR YEARS!!!! Why would they give up on this kid?

It's way harder to find an ace then it is to get a great hitter.

Hamilton is going to be great. If he can keep his nose clean, he'll only continue to get better. I think he really grew up over the past few years, realized what life had handed him, and knew he needed to cut out the bullshit.

Prefer Volquez, really good pitcher and made strikeouts. Good future for him, only 24 years old.

It's all about pitching. Remember Texas had Arod once and look what it got em.
