The Nats are one of the worst 1st inning teams in the league, scoring in just 5 of their 1st innings this year (19%). And they've scored 0 in their last 7, and one in their last 11. The Phillies have Hamels on the mound, who has yet to give up a 1st inning run. So its looking like the Nats don't have a chance in hell to put up a 1st inning run. I'm just a little iffy about the Phils. They are one of the better 1st inning teams, putting up a run in 37% of their games. However, they haven't done so in their last 3 games, and only twice in their last 12. The Nats send Hernandez to the mound tonight, and he has given up only 1 1st inning run in 5 starts, and none in his last 4. I'm thinking he gets through this one untouched....

Angels/RedSox
The Angels have hit a 1st inning scoring HUMP! After scoring 6 times in their 1st 9 games, they have scored only once in the following 19 games....and 0 in the last 13. And facing Lester, who has given up only 2 in six starts, I don't see this changing tonight. The Angels are countering with Haren, who has only given up 1 in seven starts. I'm liking my chances in this one.....

These are two of the more pitiful 1st inning teams. There is plenty of info to back this up, but this is all I need: Twins have scored once in the last 15, while the Sox have plated 1 in the last 21 games. I'll bite HARD at these odds...

I always seemed to get screwed in night games like around 10pm ET whether it be baseball or hockey no matter how easy a game looks. Especially if it's on the same day as big playoff games in other sports like basketball.

On the late games...CLe vs Oak No Score looks enticing. But, I am staying far away and observing. I got brutalized on the Joke Pirates and Padres. Both teams are in the Bottom 10% in the MLB in Batting Average and Runs. What a joke..and they have 2 games in a row where they score runs in the 1st Inning. Also, Padres have one of the best Team ERA's in the Majors.

I guess if it looks too easy..stay away.
