Well let's see how this goes for the 2011 MLB season. My background is as a technical analyst in futures, stocks, and commodities. I will attempt to apply those same principles to MLB games this season. Using historic data to find trends that will persist into the future always must come with the disclosure "past results are not necessarily a indicative of future performance." With that caveat out of the way, here are some general guidelines:
I will try to post all plays by 12:30 PM Eastern Time on the day of the game if not earlier
For bankroll management I suggest betting to win an amount that is 2% of your total bankroll (and hopefully that allows for bankroll growth and increased bet sizes as the year goes on)
For score keeping purposes I will start with a $5000 bankroll and bet to win $100 per bet and I won't adjust the bankroll size so it will be easier to manage.
I will post the time and location of the play I make and other locations that have a similar line so the accuracy can be checked.
I will only be betting sides in MLB games and no RL or Totals. When pitchers are listed I will try to remember to list them here as well.
Good luck to those who choose to follow this thread.
