    2 MLB Plays Wednesday (50-53, +0.67)
I had a nice day Tuesday going 3-2, gaining 1.51 units thanks to the Orioles. The Bullpen System struggled though, going just 1-3 as two plays that would have won (Phillies, D-Backs) became non-plays when they closed higher than -130. So officially, BPS is now just 28-28, +1.95. Remember that two of the past three years, this system was never in the red at any point in the season. Tonight may go a long way in determining if there is a repeat of that this season. There are 4 BPS plays as of now, and here are 2 of them:

    Athletics +150 (Bookmaker) *BPS*
    Marlins +130 (5 Dimes) *BPS*

    YTD: 50-53, 48.5%, +0.67

    LT,
If I remember correctly, it wasn't until after May 1 that the BPS really kicked in. Do you think, if the BPS goes into the red after today that its:
    1. A reflection of it still being early in the year. And by the end of the year, the BPS will be solidly in the black.
    2. The books have sharpened up where the BPS is concerned?
    3. Something else?

    Thanks,

    Doc

It's too early to answer that question. If the answer is 2, then we'd have to settle for another +76 year. I hope the answer is 1, but still can't say for sure.

Not a bad "settle" if you ask me. I found your BPS very interesting when you wrote about it earlier and I've been playing the BPS games with you this season.

Hey I been checking out the system as well and noticed that today the Twinkies and the Cubbies are tied for 10th I played the Cubbies obviously couldn't play Twins. I guess the question is what the fukk do you do when 2 teams are tied for 10th. I used covers dot com by the by.

            bfour.

Use both. And you have better eyes than me because to be honest, I missed the tie and omitted the Cubs until now.

So there are actually five possible plays today.

Well chances are the Twins actually were #10, and Cubbies #11. They may have the same ERA when rounded to 2 decimals, but I am pretty sure there is only one real #10, but we may now be splitting hairs.

                  LOL

So naturally on a day where the system gioes 3-2, I only put out the two losers and go 0-2.

3-2? I think the system only ended up being 2-2.

                    L OAK
                    L FLA
                    W LAD
                    W BAL

At least according to your pinnacle closing lines.

CUBS bigugly. I've always included ties for 10th. I just missed it yesterday until bfour correctly pointed it out.

So theoretically, there can be 15 plays in a day if there is a six way tie for 10th.

Oh. I read the above, but I didn't discern that you had actually included ties like that in your "official" records. Hence I didn't play the cubbies. Damn.
