hey, Rick. the Red Sox are an excellent play tonight. unfortunately, as a Tribe fan, i can't start fading them this early, but Red Sox ML has to be one of the best plays on the card. i'm considering adding the over there. i can see down into Jacobs Field from my building, and i've generally done well in past years making totals plays based upon the flag in right-center about a half-hour before gametime. it's cool, sunny and clear, wind is from the west (which we want) and the flag's been blowing out most of the day. my concern is that, after the poor opening series for the Sox bats, Beckett might come out with the mindset to dominate. also, took a couple of lumps in the Champions League in soccer this afternoon so i'm of the mindset to stick to 3 plays for tonight. but if i check at 6:30 and the flag's straight out, might be tough....

i think that the Brewers win tonight, but i'm not willing to bet on it.

that sucker's still pointing straight out, wind's probably 15 mph or so. this may make it hard to stick to my 3 plays. got a hoops game in a league at 7, may have to make the call on this one just a touch early. will post it here if i play it.

passing on the Red Sox/Tribe over. first, the wind's blowing out, but it's right around 40 degrees right now, which means that the game will be played in the 30s and the cold may well offset the wind advantage. second, Tribe has never hit Beckett well, and Sox need this game. third, Sox haven't hit all that well yet. Red Sox ML or TT over 5 preferable to game over, so passing and hoping that sticking with my 3 initial plays will work out.
