This is the Official Thread for the 2011 17 Run Pool

Every person is assigned a team each week. Teams were chosen at random for week 1 and rotated down each week for the remainder of the season.

Here is the link to the spreadsheet for the year.

2011 17 Run Pool team assignments

Rules are simple...

- Your Team must score 17 runs exactly in a game.
- If 2 or more teams score 17 runs, the pot will be split.
- All points carry over week to week if no team scores 17 runs.
- Weeks start on Mondays and end on Sundays

Gonna be a huge pot. Hope u don't lose interest of people this may happen 5 times max all year... I think people though it was a team had to score a combo of 17 runs for the week

Very true. I get in one at my job every year. Doesn't get hit often but it will. Last year was an off year but years before that have been gettin hit often.

The first row shows the dates for the weeks. There's 30 teams.

I've been playing this pool for over 10 years. It's 17 runs in a game. Sorry if some people have been misled.

17 runs in a game happened 5 times last year... padres april 12th.. brewers april 26th.. boston may 3rd brewers may 8... blue jays august 7th.... and u did it during the sauce era... 5 times out of 4000 plus games

Click the gold emblem in the post that bcats made. You will only be able to transfer 2 points since you are a non pro. So make 3 transfers within the week. 2-2-1

agreed its like 260 points or so over the course of the year, granted you could win alot if it hits but


happened 5 times / (162) x which is 4860
5/4860= .0010288 so that percent for about 300 points

of winning and probably less than that as scoring is going done

i think everyone should just get one team for the year, and do like 21 runs exactly most teams play like 6 games a week

i'll do weekly, i prefer one team for the year rather than different every week... doubt this works out cause people will forget to send weekly points
