What's so funny about that? Morton did his job. Pirates played OK. Diving catch at 1B in the 3rd or 4th (can't remember) was the difference -- that, and JJ continues to pitch like the best in the league, which he isn't.

I took a shot. It missed. But it wasn't a terrible play. The Pirates aren't a bad team, and Morton is an up-and-comer. I'll likely be on them again Thursday with McDonald.

pit was not a terrible play at all. i know how you love to fade hot pitchers(not sure why, i say ride the streak or stay away) last year you were hellbent on fading Jimenez.

not sure why i havnt been able to get you on the Cards bandwagon lately, been droppin hints everyday and you just kinda ignore them. been great prices for a top road team against kc and now sd.

price looking real tempting again even though i almost always fade STL in this spot (going for 3 game sweep) been money for years it seems. that said Cards have been able to get to pads pen, Latos hasnt went past 6 all year, Carp only threw 88 pitches last start and SD cant hit helps. Jim Wolf behind the plate and i think he hates home teams (1-8 when he back there). Cards now 8-1 since being swept by cincy, everyone contributing and i gotta think they would like to get Carp some confidence against this bunch of scrubs.

I'd play it again. I loved them here with Charlie Morton. Swung and missed. He did his job and they played pretty well.

I just hit an 8U bet last Saturday. Rolled the dice and came up empty here. It happens.

Latos is god aweful. His stuff is great, his location and command are terribad. Padres cannot hit- this is an easy Carp -125 play for 2-3 units.

i told myself to parlay Cards with the under the last 2 days but they were so cheap thanks to the "sharp" ppl, i just played them alone.

wouldnt touch the total on this one now that i skipped 2 but Carp hasnt had any problems with anyone on this team in the past, we obviously know how to pitch to Ludwig and his big loopy swing, when i watch Carp this year i swear it doesnt seem like he has lost it even though i was worried about him coming into the year, his velocity isnt down, he just isnt locating and he has really not thrown a lot of his curve it seems. he did only throw 88 pitches last outing (only 2nd time under 100 all year) and last time the next start was one of his better games.

i hate breaking my rule on this and i probably wouldnt if i didnt already take them the 1st two but this is one time i def wouldnt use the fade the sweep theory. probably sleep on it but i swear if these "super sharp" folks make the price drop way down again i may have no choice but to break the rule just this once.

2 things. 1st i wouldnt touch it yet, let it go down, price should drop (has every other game)

Good luck. Probably Cards or no play -- I can't back Latos. He's still pitching hurt and is just all over the place. Plus, if the Cards scratch 2-3 runs together, this one's over. SD has the worst offense I've seen in baseball over the past decade.
