    Cardinals or Padres?
I am leaning Cardinals RL. -1.5 on opening day with carpenter on the hill! I am curious to get opinions on this one. I don't like laying -200 on any baseball game, so I won't take them to win SU. Either RL or nothing for me. Everyone is talking about the yankees and tigers, but I feel like Carpenter is a solid pitcher and will get it done today.

I thought about the under. padres are pitching a guy who posted some good numbers last year. it's only 7 though, and I've seen the Cardinals lineup torch teams too many times to feel safe with the under set that low. Opening day and Pujols is a beast! I am going to put a small wager on the Cardinals to cover 1.5. with that total set at only 7 taking the under means all u need is a 3-3 game which at best u get a push.

          Cards rL

Padres have a new line-up and can't hit Carp.

weather.com indicates a nice day with a temperature of around 55. So rain shouldn't play a factor.

Pads fan here. Stauffer has been bouncing back and forth from the minor and major. Although he has started on opening day before but it was in the minor. This guy hasnt wow anyone in the major. This team has no power nor speed, but yet these guys did well in spring training. But regular season is no ST. Cards own rhe pads eapecially in St. Louis. Also too many new faces this year. I might take 1st inning no run. GL guys.

has anyone seen Carpenter pitch in spring training? how fast is his fastball right now? If its 94mph or more Cardinals definitely win. Chris Carpenter IMO when healthy is one of the top 5 pitchers in baseball.

I like the pads in this one, carpenter is overrated, hes not as good as he once was. And the pads have some new people who are going to want to start off strong.
