Zito gets another start for the Giants tonight.

I know the Pirates are a terrible baseball team, but Zito has been horrible. Is this an automatic fade Zito situation or a no-play for you guys?

8.15 K/9 at AA for the reds in 2006. I think that says enough about the kid.

No play for me. I smell cheese but I think I'd get my head snapped off trying to take a nibble on this one...

Which just about says it all, doesn't it, Looker?

Actually, Zito didn't pitch that badly. 5IP, 5H, 2R, 2ER, 2W, 5K's. But his guys only scratched for one run in the top of the 9th...

Zito's problem isn't his "form" as much as it is his velocity on this fastball that is now down to 82-84. When he was 88-90 on the fastball, it was a different game.

At 82-84, he simply doesn't have enough weapons to get out major league hitters. Unless something changes, this may very well go down as the worst free agent signing in the history of major league baseball.
