Does anyone have any thoughts on what is the best time of the day to get the best value for favorites and dogs? Early for betting favs? Closer to game time for betting dogs? I once heard that it is best to wait until closer to game time to bet underdogs because most people will bet the favs and drive the value up, but I wanted to ask all of you. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated. What about best time of the day to bet over or unders or is there not a consistent trend? Thank you in advanced.

It's generally better to get the overnight lines. Sharps will jump on any bad lines as quickly as possible so most lines are not favorable by game time (or even an hour before).
That being said, you have to be wary of inside info (such as an injury or rest day for a star player and/or starting pitcher). And there may be times it's best to wait for the public to pound the favorite but usually enough sharps come in with a lot of money to correct for the public's errors.Comment
