Braves bats are still cold for the most part and there is no way Jo Jo can shut down the Reds bats tonight like Hudson did yesterday. Reds will even the series at 1 tonight.

Garland's been getting roughed up this year and the Orioles will rough him up some more.

Jon Garland at home 8.31 ERA 1.90 WHIP
Daniel Cabrera on the road 2.14 ERA 1.14 WHIP
Not going to over analyze things... Just taking a hot pitcher against a pitcher that's struggled

Peavy has a 5.25 ERA on the road compared to his 0.87 ERA at home. After a couple of roughed up starts, Nolasco has settled down in his last 2 games with a 3.27 ERA

953 New York Mets +160
The Mets took Game One last night in relatively easy fashion and there is no reason to buck them now. They are 4-1 over their last five games following a horrendous 1-5 run. It has obviously been a streaky year for New York and this is definitely the time for a big possible upswing.

Stat of the day: Mets have won 14 of their last 15 in Arizona, so I guess you can say their due to lose one soon. Mets have a solid lineup for this matchup and you've got to hope they put Webb on the ropes early and at +160 it's worth the gamble.

Verlander's struggles are a concern, and something that may take some time for him to figure out. In the meantime, he's getting too much respect with this line. Baker's very talented and might be poised for a breakout season.

The Royals usually overperform as big underdogs and the favorite takes them TOO lightly. Plus Gredzulanic always impresses

978 Minnesota Twins +111 Verlander has been shelled this year and is 1-4 with a 6.5 era. Minnesota bats came alive last night and have scored 5,9, and 11 runs in the 3 meetings this year.

There is value in this play. It is only the beginning of May and already a team that is capable of playing well is over +200. CC Sabathia still needs to prove himself this season for me to give him this much credit.

Shields is a quality pitcher, and Ramirez has a .083 career average against him.
The Rays hit Beckett at least as well as the Sox hit Shields. Ortiz may well hit a dinger, but I think the Rays pull it out.

Texas +160: Oakland has enough trouble at the plate against guys they've seen before, let alone a newbie. Murray impresses with a 6-2 Texas win. Texas has hit Gaudin in the past as well.

Been playing much better than Boston of late even though they lost yesterday to them and Shields just pitched a complete game 2-hitter against Boston a week or so ago. I know they have recently seen him, but that kind of domination means they haven't figured him out yet.

Matt Cain is a really good pitcher although his wins or loss doesn't reflect it, if he can get run support, they can make this game interesting.

texas +160 : Michael Young is hitting .381 over the last week and just so happens to be .556 (10 for 18) career vs. gaudin. granted, gaudin has been probably the best pitcher in the majors over his past 3 starts. he has been unhittable but as michael young goes so go the rangers and there ares ome dangerous bats in the texasl ineup. gaudin is a career 2-5 with a 6.13 vs. texas and im just hoping that that trend continues with michael young going 2-5 with 3 or 4 rbi's here. also oakland has been playing some sloppy defense as of late which could add to texas' chances. all that being said i still think oakland is a much better team with a much better bullpen and even a better starter today despite gaudins poor career mark against texas. there are some key factors that definitely point to a texas win and thats the best we can hope for when betting a +160 dog. so TEXAS<TEXAS<TEXAS +160!!!!!!!!!!
