    Liriano rocked in the Minors
Francisco Liriano gave up four runs just 4 1/3 innings for Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday.
Liriano was pulled after allowing five hits and five walks (one intentional) in his brief stint. It could have been worse, but the bullpen bailed him out of a bases-loaded, one out situation after he left. Liriano clearly has plenty of work to do before returning to the majors.

Send him down to A ball, and let him work his way back up. Halladay.

Every MLB start he had in 08' I went against him. He was terrible in spring training with that "new"elbow he got. I don't think the guy is going to make a come back. But sh1t his stuff looked down right sick before the surgery.

What a huge drop off considering how lights out he once was.

He was so awesome before he got hurt, he may never have been that good again even if he hadn't gotten hurt.

But he may never make it back to the majors with any permanence unless he completely changes his pitching style. Tommy John surgery is ok for crafty guys who "pitch" but for guys with blinding stuff it is killer.

You gotta give the kid a full year to work his way back from the injury. Next year will be the year where you find out if he's going to be a legit major leaguer again or just flounder around for the rest of his career.
