on it. Lincecum is a fantastic pitcher, no doubt, but I like some of the numbers the Rocks have put up against him. I think these two teams can scrape together 7 or 8, especially with the sad bullpens.

      Let's run an experiment.

Take the average of the runs scored against the Rockies in Cook's 5 starts this year. 18 / 5 = 3.6

Take the average of the runs scored against the Giants in Lincecum's 4 starts this year. 6 / 4 = 1.5

      1.5 + 3.6 = 5.1. Round down to 5.

If statistics hold true (and this is a small sample) there will be 5 total runs in this game.

I respect your opinion greatly Saint. Your record can back you up and obviously I'm struggling. Took a chance on what I thought was a nice number, basically I am fading the bullpens here and hoping the Rocks atleast get 2 or 3 of Lincecum before the 7th.
We'll see, goodluck to you sir.

It's not my opinion. It's math. But baseball routinely mocks prior statistics. Since I'm not on the total, I'll be rooting for the Giants to score 8 runs and for both of us to cash. Good luck to you Slayer.

The math you used is not significant at all, you may have gotten it right, but not because of the math you used. 5 starts is not a significant sample to get an average from, especially in baseball.
