Opinions Wanted: A's/Angels Series

I've got a $50 free play to use and was thinking about taking Oakland at +160 to win the series.

Both teams are 16-10.

A's are 8-3 on the road & have won 2 of the 3, three game series they played in so far.

Gaudin/Garland
G.Smith/Saunders
Eveland/Santana

My opinion is LA. I think Oakland has overachieved and now that teams are getting a read on guys like Smith and Eveland they aren't quite as lights out. How long can Emil Brown keep hitting like Manny Ramirez? I like LA tonight as well I think Gaudin will finally get shelled.

At +160 it might be worth a shot, yeah. But your asking alot for a young team to sweep a road game series against a division opponent with more talent. seems like +160 equals the risk.

seems a good one to me . if angles win game 1 today you can hedge it taking the A's tues at plus odds .... angels are a very very good team .

could happen >> angles win game 1 , you wager a's on tues with plus odds , a's win you get tues bet , then angels win on wed so you get the series bet too .

hey man A's had a great start yesterday for the series but todays game... id completely lay off... but thats just myopinion i spent some time on this game and couldnt see anything that leaned completely toward the opposing team. GL on what ever youe decide bro

Saunders has a 5.54 career ERA vs. Oakland which consisted of 5 games where he went 2-1. LAA is 5-0 in his starts, and he has obviously pitched great this year, and against much better offensive teams than Greg Smith has pitched against this year. These pitchers are similar. A counter-argument is that OAK did just win 14-2 yesterday, and they are coming into this game with a pretty decent pitcher (so far this season), which means there is good value in playing OAK again. If I were to make a play, I would take OAK +1.5 (-165). Game-time decision as to whether or not I'll make a small play.
