I think the main reason they signed him was to help those young starters, and the rest of their pitching prospects. The whole "veteran presence in the clubhouse" theory, along with having a solid starter to contend last year. Guess that blew up in their face. If the guy can't pitch well himself, and get his mechanics back to where they were in Oakland, how the hell is he going to help anyone else?Comment
