So this request is just that, a minor request. If your system even works this way, or you would be so inclined to add a bit of extra info, would it be possible to list whether or not a series is a "team based" bet, or whether it is fav/dog dependent?

Basically trying to get my arms wrapped-around series that will always be for 1 team as opposed to series that could flip to the other team. Would help reduce the amount of forum checking I do the morning after an A or B loss...

I might totally misunderstand the system and whether or not a team-based bet remains a team for the entire series or if it's just 1 game. But I thought I would ask. Thank you again for all you do and I would love to help in anyway I can. If you ever need any help.

My posts are already too worded for my liking, now I've needed to add time and EDT per other request. The team we are playing is Highlighted in blue, and will have the word "official" next to the game. Do not place any wager until the word "official" appears next to the game. No one has to check the thread 100 times a day. With the exception of one person on here, all of us can place our bets up til the first pitch, or a few minutes before. Baseball lines move up and down at a slower pace, all day long. There is no "right" time to get in, just a "lucky" time. They will move down two points, then you place your bets, and lo and behold, the line went back up three, a half hour later, down two again. The way this system is, a couple points here and there won't matter. Some days you will have a better line than the ones in my standings post, and other days slightly lower. If frequent checking is a problem, then check once in the morning, and once a half an hour before games. They are usually all up by then, unless one game is still undecided, or I am involved in answering a negative post and overwriting my posted plays, which will never happen again, so it would have to be the first choice. Hell, you may even get lucky and all picks will be official in the morning. I put a lot of time into this, if simply clicking on here to get free plays is too much work, then I am sorry about that. Maybe somebody on here has a good friend at ESPN, and could call them to get my plays to scroll across the bottom of their screen with all the rest of the scores, wouldn't that be EASY!

Before the questions start, let me answer them. We are finishing out our (D) bet on Detroit and N.Y. Yankees. However, this series also qualified as an (A) bet for other criteria. This will happen on occasion, with teams playing every day, and sometimes against different opponents during our chase. If you opt not to play the new series, that is your choice. But I prefer to make all plays the system calls for, even if they happen to be both sides of a game, which may happen a few times this season also. Good luck, my last post is not a misprint.

Keep in mind that this series is a 4 game set and according to JM's updated rules it can be played out to a (D) bet so manage your money accordingly. I like the pitching matchups in 2 or 3 of the games and feel really good about games 1 and 2but what do I know. It's a real favorable line today and I expect it to stay pretty tight throughout the series. We have another series starting tomorrow but it does not qualify as an official bet. Will monitor it for a possible v3 play. GL all let's win some money.

You are correct. If it is offered at any time leading up to the game he will take it. Also if an underdog shifts to a favorite going into gametime and then ends up losing by one JM will come back and say oh! you should have bought the alternate runline. He's done it in the past.

I guess we have our first controversy of this early season. Not quite sure how to deal with this. Don't know if we should establish an official site for our posts or take what you can get. I know we'll come across a lot of issues this season and we all know how JM will act. If anyone has any suggestions please post.

P.S. I know that the vegas lines will sometimes differ quite a bit from offshore cause most JM bettors are offshore. I have found that in the casinos.

This is the problem with JM, he has no official site, if he finds +1 1/2 anywhere, he will use that as his line. I am playing ALL JM bets for 1/2 unit and for (-1 1/2), +money is the key for me. If I lose, then I lose, but I am not paying ridiculous juice on EVERY bey just to win 1 unit. Some of the bets in my system will be like this, but not ALL of them. I am (0-1) so far betting these this way, but a couple nice +money wins and I'm right back in it. Only down 3.5 units in JM so far, at most, it's seven wins at even money to get even, but most, if not all, will be high +money this way. I was planning on backtesting this before I started playing it this way, but what the hell, it's only a few units, and this season has been real good to me so far. Not to mention, I don't have a copy of previous years plays, and don't feel like digging through 30 teams schedules right now. If anyone has the previous years, get it to me, and I will be happy to test it. Thanks Hagball for the updates.

He makes the rules. We all know that. What I'm trying to do is score it properly. So at some point we probably need to decide on an official way to keep track. It will prob differ from Morrison's results.

This is a known problem with BetUS, because JM refers so many people to that book they usually adjust the lines for JM plays giving worse odds, especially on C bets.

To be honest I'd prefer to take the ML on this one but i've been burned in the past by not making the +1.5 play.

-210 R/L means they are getting +1 1/2. That is what they are talking about. If you are referring to my post, I will be playing the -1 1/2 Alternate run line, that is +money. Stevex, this is kind of like how we were playing the NBA at all (-110) We took some more losses, but still ended up ahead. Hoping the same happens here.

I re-did the post again. Someone brought to my attention that I didn't clarify who the home team was. I will always post the team to bet on on the left in bold and then put @ or vs to specify away or home. Thanks for the input.

The crazy thing JM can always go back on it, BetFair has +1.5 for both teams. Very nasty odds but they are there. So he could always reference that.
