I'll play, but if it's just a fun league, I might not be very active at times if that's okay. I've never played a fantasy league either.

Well, I've never played a fantasy league or coached baseball before, so I'll be the "Zeke" GM of the league.

Last call for sign-up.

League is now set for 12 teams max and I believe there are three folks out there who have been given the signup info, so somebody is about to lose out. If you haven't signed up and want to, do it now. Draft is Monday (Mar 27th) at 8:30 p.m. (Eastern).

Also changed max moves from unlimited to 50. With either 10 or 12 teams, there will be plenty of 1st-string talent to pick from, and being able to turn your roster over completely two times should be good enough. There will be 22 weeks of head-to-head action, so that gives you an average of two moves per week with six leftover for your playoff run in September.

I have my draft war room set up. Will be up all night guzzling strong black coffee...puffing on cigars...going over the available talent with a fine tooth comb and getting my draft wish list in order with the help of my fantasy staff. I also have put together a fantasy front office with the hottest female clerks, receptionist, cleaning and maintenance personnel and man you should see my hot fantasy personal assistant....looks like a younger version of Catherine Zetta Jones (pre Michael Douglas).

SBR is committed to a $500 purse, either dead presidents or betting account funds. We'll decide that between now and April 2nd.

I was thinking a split something like: $250 for 1st; $150 for 2nd; $100 for the roto champ.

I cannot find the link that Yahoo had last year that tracked cumulative totals, team-by-team. Therefore, we really can't reward an overall roto champ. There was a suggestion just after this original post of mine to divvy up the $100 for the roto winner $50 each for 3rd- and 4th-places (I would divide it $75-$25 if it was my decision). Another suggestion might be to give the two regular season division winners $50 each.

Need your input here: A) Split original $100 set aside for roto winner between 3rd- and 4th-place teams, or; B) Give $50 each to regular season division winners.

B, since we are playing a H2H, there should be a prize for the division winners, imo.

I definitely vote for 3rd/4th prizes. The division winners already have the advantage of receiving a bye in the playoffs. This guarantees them at least 4th place money anyhow. Giving the division winners an automatic 20% of the prize pool, along with a huge edge in winning the remaining 80%, makes the distribution way too top heavy.
Also, the 3rd/4th prizes should not be equal otherwise there's nothing to play for in the 3rd place match.

Considering we've only had three people vote so far, and the vote is 2-1 in favor of paying 3rd-4th off in that manner, I guess so. We'll give everyone until this Sunday to express their votes.
