Why wouldnt you look into the possiblity of dealing for sir albert after all its just monopoly money trade tex and maybe chamberlain and a prospect for sir albertu get tex salary off your books and basically u get a young albert for appox 150 million cause u ahd to pay tex his remaining money on contract so take that away from the 300 million it would take to sign him and cost probably 150 million, and then u have the baton being passed from jeter to albert for the near future. And at dead line trade your prospects for a stud starter like liriano or fernandez and your yankess for next 7 years are damn good albert cano jeter arod i the infield thats a hall of fame without question and albert in time will pass arod in all time leading homerun hitter in pinstripes, boy i wish george was still around!!!!!!!!

Pujols has a no trade clause and was already adamant about exercising the right if the cards did want to deal him. I doubt a trade would even be initiated especially considering the cards are the favs for the central this season and should be playing in October. Don't forget Pujols is clutch in October so if there is playoff ball being played you want him around. If the Yankees want Pujols they should just make him a silly offer that he can't refuse in FA. Even if the guy doesn't care about money as he has stated, the yanks are probably the only team that would really offer him a deal he can't refuse like 10yrs for 330mil or something ridiculous. If they signed Pujols they could move someone else for pitching or swap players around at DH to keep them all fresh. I don't know how much he would like it but don't forget also that Pujols has played many positions in his career. He started off as a 3B and LF primarily and has played at least 1 game at every position except catcher, pitcher and CF, so the guy can play ball, he's not Manny with the glove out there, he's got a couple gold gloves already. The cards just stuck him at first because there was a need and he grew to prefer it. I think the dark horse in all of this is Boston. I know they have Crawford now but come on move him to right and stick Albert out there in left. He can play LF better than Manny did with at least an equal stick if not better. Plus you have Jacoby and Carl out there with mega speed so you can just put Albert toward the line and let Jacoby chase down the hangers in left center like he usually does. I think Boston is an awesome fit for Albert, he could still get big money and have perennial all stars protecting him in the lineup all season. Oh and Pujols is older than big Tex also so it wouldn't be an upgrade age wise.Comment -

If I am the Yankees I wait until the off-season and sign him and keep him and Tex ; positions can be worked out there is always the DH in the AL.
