albers has a decent arm, but the os lineup shouldn't be a good matchup vs Tor tonight. About 55% of the balls put in play against McGowan have been on the ground and the Os just don't have enough bats to consistently put together 3-4 hits to get a run. I expect the Jays to win something like a 5-2 game.

This is just the type of game where McGowan has to show his consistency. Sometimes he struggles with his command when he is playing weaker teams, not sure why. McGowan has really struggled against the Orioles in the past, his WHIP is up around 2 vs.
BJ Ryan is back for the Jays and looks pretty good so far. The rest of the bullpen has been solid.
The Jays can get hits and runs with the best of them but they hae a tendency to "play down"-that is they struggle against weaker teams.
Not surprisingly then, they have struggled against Baltimore in the past 10-8 in Baltimore the last 3 years.
That all being said, Baltimore is a horrible, horrible baseball team and there is just not enough here at +115 or so for me to make a play on them. Albers has a good arm but this Jays lineup can really bury the opposition if they are clicking.
Its a no play for me. If the line was up around 130 or 140 I would go for the O's.

i live in baltimore, and the only team more depressing than them is the NATS. the announcers consistently struggle to come up with anything positive to say about either team. the O's are strong early in the season, but ALWAYS fade at the end of EVERY YEAR. Guaranteed losing record in July, Aug. Bet on it! that being said, go Blue Jays!
