I dont even care for the guy, i would give him 75 for 3 and look to replace him after that if he still demands that much....his numbers are dropping every year as of now.

Eh, I don't know about that. Statisticians have been saying his numbers would regress for years now, and they haven't. The truth is that he still has 4-6 REALLY good years left, and another 3-5 decent years. So, statistically speaking, a decent year for Pujols would be a .290, 25 HR, 90 RBI guy.
Someone before also said that the market dictates the price he is worth which is absolutely correct (just because a stock is technically worth $100/share does not mean that it trades at that price). He may well only be "technically" worth $22-25 million a year, but the market (all MLB teams) seems to be inclined to pay him and others like A-Rod, more than that.
Another side note too: this guy is a TANK. He has never been an injury concern for LaRussa his whole career.
