As much as I didn't want to take it, I really feel strongly about us sucking in twilight games at Fenway. I also like Beckett to rebound.

If Boston wins this one, I like Hughes Sunday night.

Otherwise, it's looking to be a doggie Saturday.

I'll keep that in mind...who knows I might have to play the Sox since you of all people are wagering on them.

          How dare you?

It was nice of Francona to ruin a well-played game by bringing Timlin, who hasn't been a major league quality pitcher for years and was just activated earlier in the day, in the game. Some people actually think this guy's a capable manager. Amazing.

Honestly, I have little confidence in Beckett throwing a good game. I just think he's going to continue to be overpriced after his brilliant postseason, and only 3 of his 8 starts against the Yanks since coming to Boston have been quality starts. That said, I definitely don't have the balls to back Mussina in this spot. Supposed to rain all day here, so I question whether they will get this game in.

          With you on the Cubbies.

          Good luck.

Had no business pitching to Manny in that situation. Girardi needs to stop trying to be so different than Torre and just stick to the basics sometimes.

Ridiculous call, but it shows that besides Joba, and Mariano, he really has no faith in his pen. Latroy Hawkins? Brian Bruney? Ross Ohlendorf? Wtf?

Doesn't it always seem like they lose in twilight games at Fenway though? I wonder if someone has that record.
