    Hiroki Kuroda
D'Backs obviously haven't faced the guy before. Did anyone see him pitch against the Padres? What kind of stuff does this guy throw? Off-speed? Junk? I want to lay money on the Arizona RL @ +200. The D'Backs are killing the ball, and the Dodgers offense hasn't been all that great.

I have never seen him pitch but maybe this is useful....

Kuroda's throws four pitches -- a fastball that peaks in the mid 90s; a slider; a forkball that scrapes the high 80s; and a fastball/sinker/slider combo called a "shuuto" in Japan. Critics assert that Kuroda relies too much on his fastball; however, when he can locate it, he is a true ace. He projects, on the high side, to be a middle of the rotation starter in the Major Leagues, with others (such as Mike Pagliarulo) suggesting that he is a given to put up an ERA above 5.00.

Thanks OLGC. If he relies on his fastball, then I'm all over the D'Backs. They're a very good fastball hitting team. Hopefully he won't be able to locate it and then mix in his off speed pitches.

I am pretty sure he is more of a power pitcher than a junk guy, put it that way. Good luck on the Backs. They are looking pretty good this season.
