Some questions from a handicapping newbie
Hello. Im new to SBR. I have been betting for about a year and half now and doing pretty well in basball this season. But there is so much more that I want to learn about handicapping. What would be your advice to a newbie like myself?? Is there any books or and other references that can teach me about the strategies and analyzing that goes into handicapping??

I have been browsing this forum for about 3-4 days now and have learned so much already from you guys. Pretty awesome knowledge thats out there. Also, where do you all go to check out your stats when planning a wager. For example, if I want to know what a pitcher's ERA is against a particular team or how effective a certian team's bullpen is. Any help or advice would be great appreciated. Thanks

DERA, RF, EqA. These are useful stats.

AVG, RBIs, Wins, ERA. These are not useful stats.

There are many ways to skin a cat, but I'm with donjuan.

Find and utilize stats that have more predictive value than what the rest of the world is using.
