    padres team total Over 3.5
I was doing some research on Matt Cain and how he pitches day and night. Cain has probably the highest ERA during the day (9.00 era). I was trying to find era for day and night but was unable to find those stats on yahoo sports. I took a look at some games that Cain and the Giants got hammered, all were day games. Today he is pitching and so fair the Padres are winning 5-1. I should have put this information before the game started. I would urge everyone to bet against Matt Cain whenever he is pitching during the day and in warm weather. We will catch Cain during a day game sometime in the near future.

Cain's ERA for day games isn't anywhere near 9.00. His ERA for day games (3.39) is actually better than his ERA in night games (3.87) for his career. Also, this info IS available on Yahoo. Click under "Split Stats" on the player profile page. Then click "Since 1987" for career numbers.
