Scoreless First Inning Thread for Friday

I think I'm going on both the Yanks and the Mets for scoreless 1st's tonight. TB always plays the Yankees tough and I'm confidant that Hudson won't give up a run.

thanks for the advice BOT, it is definitely helpful.... i locked in scoreless firsts in both Sea/Balt and Phi/Cinn so we'll see what happens there...

i am just getting frustrated by me noticing bad numbers and still making the play anyway, if it wasnt for that i would be hitting almost perfect on these so far...

gonna take a break and hope for scoreless firsts in those two games and then come back for the later games....

Stingy, look at the record of day games vs night games for this year and scoreless first. You will see the numbers to back it up. I do this quite often, but usually as a .5 unit 2 team parlay...

looking at the kc vs min game. baker didnt allow a 1st inning run in 17 out of 24 games for a 70% success rate. also in the 3 games vs. kc no runs in the 1st. the wild card here is bale who was in relief all last year. i'm leaning towards taking it. any thoughts?

that's cool bro.... feel free, i really think there is something to this bet that has similar advantages to ML Parlays in college hoops, and we have learned a lot in just a couple days... hopefully in a couple weeks we will have this worked out where we will all be cashing big....

reasearching the late start games now.... the 8 o clocks were landmines for scoreless firsts, didnt get a chance to check out the histories in those games, but wouldnt be surprised if there were red flags in those....

ok here are the late game numbers, only one of these match ups looks decent, and it aint the pads/dodgers:

Lad v. Sd

Kuroda no major league history

Germano 29 inn/14 runs


Tex/LAA

Gabbard 19 inn/6 runs

Moseley 11 inn/4 runs

---- this one looks fairly safe


Clev v. Oak

Byrd 220/162

Duchscherer 5/4 releiver becoming a starter

---- dont look all that solid


so based on this, will probably play

Tex/LAA scoreless first

and even though it may not be all that safe, still tempted to play dodgers/pads too

well, like the numbers said.... fogg was my only concern and just watched him.... he is good fade material... if he let's the leadoff guy on and he has any speed whatsoever, it is an almost certain run....

But LAA offense is stacked this season.

yup.... the risk is one mistake pitch and an angel going yard.... but the starters seem pretty solid, and the other upside of taking the no is the juice is in our favor because of the stacked lineup at -105....

i think i am gonna roll the dice on this one only because the numbers have held true so far on both sides of the coin and the pitching numbers indicate a scoreless first more likely.... hoping so anyway

wow.... i might be in trouble, i dropped a decent sized bet on scoreless 1st in tex/LAA and shortly after i did the scoreless inning odds balooned up from -105 to +120, i would advise caution against tailing me on this one

hmmm... even though it was a game where the lineups would scare you, the career pitching numbers held up again.... got the win in the rangers-angels game....

and definitely going strictly by the career 1st inning numbers on these wagers.... if i stuck to it 100% woulda been perfect in two days
