Baltmore Orioles and veteran slugger Vladimir Guerrero are close to reaching an agreement on a one-year deal, MLB Network Radio reported on Friday.

Baltimore has not confirmed the deal and financial details have not been disclosed. Guerrero is coming off a strong season with the Rangers in which he was named an All-Star for the ninth time in his career. The 35-year-old won his eighth Silver Slugger Award by hitting .300/.345/.496 with 29 home runs and 115 RBIs.

Baltimore should have a pretty decent team this year, ha now they need to get out of the AL East.

Sadly, I don't think baltimore has much chance to compete anytime soon. Hopefully they sign him for less than he got last year and don't have to waste money on a meaningless season.
