the baseball moneylines seem so low
    compared to basketball and fooball

i mean the highest baseball money line i can ever recall is around -400 or slightly higher

whereas of course the baskets and foots go up to what -2000

or whatever depending if ml is offered

a baseball lline say -300 or higher seems almost like a sure thing

whereas baskets or football you have to go to -500 or higher to feel fairly secure

experts chime in on this question?

for instance is say red sox with beckett pitching
    over say kc -450

really that much more risky than say boston celtics -3000? at home
over say miami or ny knicks

That is because the best MLB team will go around 100-62 in a given year and the worst team will go around 62-100.

Everything else being equal, the breakeven point with those records is only +/-161, which is why MLB sharps love betting dogs.

Great point LT, every dog with high probability will win at least a game in series.
