I read online the yankees inquired about the availability of francisco liriano and he was available! Which i think is a better option for them. Instead of being held up by cliff lee!!! They put 160 million on the table and you need 3 weeks to decide u know what i say to that take care cliff and family, let cliff go explain to his wife how he just blew 160 million dollars. like it or not this strategy which is 100% his agent's not Cliff Lee's is working very well.
Both the Rangers and Yankees have increased their offers and neither has a good plan B.
The other FA signings have increased his leverage and he now has these 2 teams and possibly a 3rd team fighting over him.
He seems very businesslike to me and has given his agent full control of the situation so I wouldn't put too much stock in his wife's feelings or much else for that matter, this deal will come down to most dollars.Comment -
