    Sir Lance to STL
Love this move for the Cards. Hurts the D a bit but another solid bat in that lineup, he should rebound for 25-30 HR's.

Cards will be a contender next year if they improve bullpen.

Berkman will just play the role as a pinch hitter. He is coming to his conclusion unless Pujols goes on the DL.

He's going to be playing RF for St. Louis in 2011...

Matt will be playing RF and Berkman will be playing LF. This just buries Jon Jay's playing time.

I've watched Berkman play on three different levels -- college, minors, MLB -- and when he was at Rice it was my opinion he would be defensive liabilty as a DH in the majors. He proved me wrong, became in fact a decent outfielder. However, at this stage of his career it's difficut to see Fat Elvis getting into good enough shape to play 120+ games in left field. If he does, it will prove one thing: He simply became lazy and apathetical his last few seasons in Houston.

That's why I'm saying that Berkman is better off playing for the pinch hitter role. His numbers keep sinking down.

That's too bad, Jon Jay will have better numbers than Berkman. Just another young bat in the bench.
