Is best to play all the teams with a plus in front of them ON SINGLE WAGERS because there is no such thing as a fav in spring training baseball . No matter what it looks like on paper because there really is no SERIOUS paper for these games .
I would compare them to pick up games in the street and the fire hydrant is first base .
Whatever someone thinks is the exception to the rule with some big pitcher going in one of these games , still is not grounds for a minus odds line . They have the plus and minus for the line for entertainment to bet on it and for systematic purposes , something like that .
The line for every game should be EVEN in spring training .Comment -
Agree with you chipski. I wasn't necesarily just picking favorites on purpose here. Was basing most of those picks off of hitting. And it is my first day of spring training plays, so I'm just testing the waters today.Comment -
I'm with ya , is nothing wrong with a 50/50 thing goin on , nothing at all . These games can be picked on straight hunches and we can come out ahead . I would think most people would pick the team that they think is the better team going by last year or recent years .
I was liking the Angels and Cubs as plays and know nothing about who is playing so is kinda strange , but is fun no doubt .
Maybe we can nail some 3 - 0 , 5 - 0 days this month !!!
As far as what I was saying on the + odds no real fav in spring training . I think it takes alot of discipline to do single wagers on the plus odd games in spring training baseball . It would take significant wager amounts on each to make it worthwhile anyway . Most days it will be a 55 - 45 % fininsh with favs or dogs winning . On days the plus odds get 60% win ratio for the day it would be noted as a good strategy but I guess it is not worth going after .
In contrast to the plus odds strategy : Big advantage in taking the fav , the team that bats last , that factor alone would be the fav team most of the time .Comment -
I also liked the Cubs and the Rangers, I mentioned the Cubs in MadCapper's thread, but did not post it here, and I also was going with the Rangers because willy said that was his play for the day. I don't look too bad right now except LAD tied 4-4 in 10 innings and I'm not sure how bodog will treat a tie game yet...Hopefully just a pushComment -

Good value on some dogs today. And I wanted the Phillies over Toronto, and the Marlins over the Cardinals, but bodog doesn't have them listed.
Mariners -120: (ChuteBox likes it for a lot)
Astros +110: Tampa Bay (4-0) has to lose sometime...
Twins +160: Mainly a value play.
Reds +135: Value play.
Indians -130: I think they get the bats going today.
Rockies -130: Just like them batting last.
