Yankees @ Reds
I can't believe I'm making a play against my own team, but f*ck it, it's the spring, I like it a lot, and this is about money. The Yankees haven't won @/or against Cincinnati since the spring of 2004. I'm aware Wang will be pitching tomorrow against Harang, but keep in mind starters only go 2-3 innings at max. Sinker ball pitchers usually struggle with keeping the ball low early in the year, and it wouldn't suprise me if Wang costs the Yankees at least a couple of runs. Also, the Yankees are coming off a loss, and are never a good pick in that spot this early in the year. They tend to be a very streaky team, one way or the other. On top of it, even though I don't have a lineup card for either team yet, I don't believe many regulars will be making the trip since a lot of them started today. Matsui will be out due to injury regardless. I also expect most of the Reds starters to be in for the first 5-6 innings as home teams normally tend to start their regular season starters on home games, and away teams tend to leave guys at home for extra rest, especially the veterans this early into spring training.
Reds (+114) Risking $200 to win $228
