    Bonds to Tampa???
Reports out of Florida are saying that the Devil Rays might be interested in signing Barry Bonds.

    Why????

what a disaster that would be, having his influence in the clubhouse on some of their young up and comers. Selling a few extra tickets can't be worth the destruction he would bring to the clubhouse. This would be a sign that the Rays ownership is desperate to the point of ultra stupidity!

I think that would be a great fit for the D'rays.

They need to find some way to put people in the stands, and it's obvious that nobody wants to watch a losing team year after year.

If they can get him for under $8 million, would be a good signing. Of course, I think the Rays can get close to .500 this year. Planning on putting some money down on the Rays over when lines are out at either Betjam or Matchbook. Don't know if matchbook will have season win totals or not.

If I'm Bonds, I just don't think I'd want to put up with the daily crap from the media and fans. The folks in Tampa might warm to him, but heading into other locales is something I just wouldn't want to endure at this stage in the career.

I live in the area. There is no way Tampa will warm up to this guy.

If Kazmir's hurt then Tampa Bay might as well sign up Bonds. They're going to need the run support.
