First 7 years in cleveland where no one knew who this guy was. The announcers even said he got sent to the minor leagues. I know some pitchers start out bad when they hit the majors because they are young but usually after a couple of seasons, they usually will break out. But can someone explain why it took Lee this many years to get so good? He had that phenomenal breakout year in Cleveland in 2008 where he went 22-3. Then the following year did so well with the Phillies and now pitching so dominant in the playoffs just like last year. I checked his regular season numbers the last 2 years and even though they aren't the best like a few other players, how is this guy so good in the postseason?
Yes he has a 12-9 record this year when he went 8-3 with the Mariners and was actually 4-6 with the Rangers. He went 7-9 with the Indians and 7-4 with the Phillies back in 2009 but we saw how he was in the postseason. But how is this guy such in the zone in the postseason? He isn't that good like a few other pitchers in the regular season besides that 22-3 year but I think this guy is better than Halladay if you want a game 7 pitcher.
