Rangers are a definite value play, but I do think the Yanks win tonight. Looking at the stats, its Tex or no play, but my gut tells me Yanks pull it out. No play here

the yankees are the play tonight.. as a red sox fan i can tell you that the rays team texas just beat is AWFUL. Easily the most overrated team in the playoffs. The yankees lineup is so much better than the rays it's ridiculous. A little leaguer could shut don the rays lineup, don't look too far into wilson having a great game against them. CC a choker? We're not talking about the cc from cleveland or Milwaukee, as a member of the yanks he's been anything but a choker. If you want to win money tonight take the yanks, and take the over as soon as Burnett takes the mound in game 4, i believe.

As a Bostonian, my heart sure does want to see this rangers team live up to the hype... But is this club really deep enough? And they won't survive another series of subpar Josh Hamilton.

So my heart is with 'em, but not sure about my wallet yet. Maybe the under or the FF under.

The Yanks are 2-9 in their last 11 (won 2 games against lefties from Minnesota in the playoffs). And before that, they won 9 of their last 10 against lefties. So in their last 21 games against lefties, they are 11-10. They hit .268 against left-handers this year, .266 against right-handers. Power hitting was much weaker though, 61 HRs and 250 RBIs against left vs 140 and 570 against right-handers.

I'm a Red Sox fan, and would like nothing more than to see Texas win, but I just don't think it will happen. The Yanks are healthy, and are playing pretty well right now. They've been here before, so all the pressure is on Texas. How will they handle being in the ALCS? First game should tell us a lot... if the Rangers can hit tonight, they have a shot at winning the series, but if they come out flat, don't expect the Yankees to let them back into it
