if cc pitches like he did game one against minnesota, cj wilson will beat him.
at first glance you think its a disadvantage for cliff to be pitching game 3 but he will still get 2 starts in if the series goes 6. and he is starting the first game on the road in a hositle environment; almost a lock since he will be pitching against phil hughes.
game 2 pettite vs lewis, i would give lewis the advantage he has been great in day games. and has been slightly in better form but this will have to be a game won by the offense of texas.
note: josh hamilton doesnt hit during day games.
game 4 hunter vs burnet. burnet has been terrible this season but as a huge rangers fan i am well aware unlike most of you guys that the rangers have NOT hit burnet well at all. he always pitched well with toronto and with the yankees. edge yanks.
game 5 cj vs cc rematch. i would be pretty surprised if cc and cj didnt split. i havent been impressed with cc so far this year. could be wrong.
thats as far as i can foresee pitching matchups. just remember josh sucks in domes on artificial turf and in day games so his struggles were pretty predictable in all day games on turf in a dome against tb. and in day games in texas. he will hit well in the night games against pitching not as good as tbs. trust me. hes a catalyst for the offense they will go much further with him hitting.
andrus kinsler and cruz have all 3 looked very good.
also remember the rangers hit left handed hitting better than the yankees. the rangers are much more likely to explode against cc and pettite than the yanks against cj and lee.
burnett and hughes scare me as a rangers fan more.
bullpens texas is better. texas has forced rivera to blow two saves.
as a rangers fan i wanted new york and frankly tb scared me more than nyy. it does suck we couldnt set our rotation but it should be a great series. it will be very close and could go either way.
