The only reason I agree is that Lee won't be able to pitch games 1, 4, and 7. But it won't be as easy as some think. Both teams have been inconsistent at times this season, but the Yanks experience gives them the advantage. Anyone have a series price yet??
That's all for you, Rangers.

#37not showing a series price yet, but I assume -260 to -300 sounds reasonable. Probably about the same as Philly\SF
Considering parlaying the two favorites, have five units on NYY at +110 from beginning of year.Comment -

#39[quote=rthoughton;6840799] Yanks have Rivera, sure. But wasn't he struggling finishing the year? weren't there rumblings of him reaching the end? [quote]
Take it from a yankee fan, Rivera has stuggled in september before. In fact, hes struggled in september on three seperate occassions, and I remember every single time people would just write him off.
Fact is, he dials it up in the postseason.Comment -

#40I don't think Rangers have a real chance. simply not gonna happen.
After winning the first 2 against Rays, Rangers simply had to win 1 out of 3 games.Comment -

#46this is not even possible.
Rangers have better pitching, equal 'pen (minus mo, i guess), and a very good lineup, mix of speed and power and average. and have the home field. Yanks - Rangers split this season, and the Yanks have trouble in Texas (right?).
And, Cappin... Halladay has better averages against the Yankees than he has against the Major Leagues. Im not sure how an IL start in June trumps a decade of dominance. We've already walked this road.Comment -

weren't the Rays the "team to beat?"
I just think you may be underestimating the Rangers.
I like the Yanks, I guess, because of experience, but you may have to win a road game 7.Comment -

#49Well. youre not gonna see that.
But Timmy Kurkjian just said, on SC, "Anyone who is counting out the Rangers (shakes head), simply hasn't watched them all season.."
Gonna be a complete battle.
MVP candidates : Josh Hamilton and Vladdy. One of the best arms in the game in Right in Francoeur, Speed and great baserunning. Power from Cruz and Kinsler (3 bombs each in DS), Lee & Wilson twice. Pretty good 'pen with Feliz and everyday O'Day...Comment -

That's what I'm predicting, Yankees may get shut down by Texas' starters but come late innings, Texas' pen is gonna get hit, and hard... hand the ball to Mo with a run lead in the 9th, or even sometimes the 8th.... and you have yourself a W. Just don't see Texas being able to keep those bats at bay all series.Comment -

#55interesting one team has gone through. it appears as if there were a series of blunders with manager decisions, umpire missed calls, and missed opportunity on offense all help contribute to one team losing and one team losing.Comment -

#56All I can say is congrats to Rangers and their backers. They showed they are for real this year even after almost choking versus Tampa.
They had better pitching and their lineup showed up every game, good luck to them in the series.
