I think the Rangers and Lee get stopped today... they had their chance...the Rays are very good and I hope they go on to play the Yankees for the ALCS.

And by the way...the Giants take a beating from the Phils..IMO....that one or two runs a game in crap...

When you have a playoff proven big game pitcher like Lee who has shutdown the likes of the Yankees in the World Series, that is where my money goes, if Price and the Rays win tonight I tip my cap. I do not bet against big game pitchers in big spots, that is how you go poor. Price is real good, let's see if he can come through in this spot, I banking that he won't GL

I see you are a Yankee fan 506. It is my guess that you are hoping Cliff Lee comes thru, because the Yankees match up a lot better with the Rangers...in fact if the Rangers win tonite...I think the Yankees will sweep them...but not the Rays....that will be a much better series.

You couldnt be more wrong imo. the yankees have a much better shot against tampa. the yankees got swept a couple weeks ago in texas. lee,wilson would give the yankees problems. tampa pitching is not as good right now and there offense is way less potent than texas

Yeah all the Rangers-ites were already talking about the Yankees when they went up 2-0 and how they wanted them. I will say though beating them in the regular season is one thing, postseason is a different animal altogether.

i say that cliff lee doesn't pitch well tonight and the roles are reversed from game 1 and the rays win tonight. lee will go 6 innings 4 runs too many pitches and price goes 7 innings 3 runs. rays BP closes it out

Lee goes 7 maybe 8 innings tonight he always pitches well in this situation....and is unhittable inng 1-6 hope those horrible rays fans leave a loser tonight....im a die hard yank and ill take either team no ones getting in our way this year we got our rotation set...take it to the bank

The Rangers let this series get away from them when they couldn't hold a late game lead on Saturday. I don't think the Rangers can handle the pressure of this elimination game. The Rays have all the momentum.

Cliff Lee 2009 post season....

4-0 1.56 ERA - including two starts against the potent offense in New York. Texas had no answers to him in game one, and I doubt today will be much different.

I have Tampa to win the ALCS, and also the Yankees to win the ALCS (placed at start of year) so for me, since I already like Texas, and if Tampa goes to ALCS I pocket a minimum of 4 units (Tampa wins ALCS) or possibly 10 units (Yankees win ALCS) putting a few units on Texas today seems like a no brainer for me.

Let's not forget Texas has the ability to get big hits more so than Tampa does. They have several batters that can change the game with a single swing, Tampa will have to rely more on small ball.... I see a low scoring game today, but I just can't bet against Lee in this spot.

Not to mention something that's pretty damn telling, that nobody seems to be talking about on here.... Tampa trying to do something that has only been done once in history, losing the first two at home and then going onto win a five game set - I'll take history on my side, the better starter, starter with more post season experience, and the offense with more pop in Texas...not to mention they are a dog.
