Buster Posey asked after the game if he was safe at second, his response was " I guess we are lucky that baseball doesn't have instant replay". This is your MLB.

An umpire missing a call and the game being fixed are two completely different things. The nice thing about baseball, some say, is the human element (that has been there for over a century) making the calls. Also, balls & strikes are not so black and white. It depends on the player, the situation, their mouth, etc...
There is a lot more to the game of baseball than what you see thru your biased eyes. And I dont see what you are so upset about, no one in the NL even has a shot besides the Phils.

I'm not upset, I am stating the obvious. If all of you are too naive to see it then fukk off, but the game is fixed.

If you think baseball is fixed why don't you get on the right side of the fix and stop throwing your money away like a chump.

this thread is ridiculous. At least, there's only one such thread.

If this happen in late innings, you could say bout the fixing. But this happened in fcking 4th inning.

Braves have 5 more innings, and what they produced? pathetic 1 hit.

you people have to much respect for these umpires. most of them are fat and slow and just are not as good as you think. they are too stupid to know how to fix a game.

For some reason, people only say this when they lose. Perhaps the issue is not that the games are fixed, but maybe it is simply the fact that you suck at picking the winning team.

Not true. I have often felt that I have been on the right side of a fixed game. When there is as much money tied up in sports as there is, anyone who thinks that NO games at all are fixed is not terribly inexperienced, to put it nicely.

when you talk fixed, are you strictly referring to the umps?

because you cant fix anything about a pitch not hitting its spot and finding its way over the fence

that was a brutal call the fukin ump had a clear view and still fuked it up. but the braves woulda lost anyway. the braves try to hit homers on every single pitch even if its 2 feet off the plate and in the dirt. and i dont even wanna get started on their defence.

the game is not fixed but we need instant replay

I had money on SF. But I was amazed, and actually sort of pissed off, by that call at second. Good throw got there in plenty of time, and it was a smooth tag. Obviously out. It was a terrible slide. Posey's leg got caught under him, and then his ass bounced up onto the bag. Sort of comical. He was lucky not to get hurt. He should have been called out just for looking ridiculous (and, yeah, I know, Posey's great). I'm thinking that call goes against the runner at least 90% of the time. Second base ump is powerful; that call let a runner into scoring position in a pitchers' duel. Fixed though? Or just a bad call? No way for me to know. I don't have those kinds of connections. So, when I make plays, I have to assume the games aren't fixed, or my head explodes.

Reds throw a hit by pitch to every possible batter, Jay Bruce missing fly balls.

                                                          Nice fixed postseason Mr. Selig

Ended up being the players! So there you go. Juice is a form of cheating, and after some time baseball, the owners and Bud Penis (Selig) were aware. Aware, did nothing, did not disclose to the public? Yes, Fix. One can NOT argue the statement that cheating is a form of a fix End of story.
