Here's some thoughts on NYY - Twins game
Carl Pavano didn't make a start against New York this year but he's first on CG shutouts on AL, pitched 221 innings with 117 strikeouts.

Andy Pettite started twice against Minnesota this year. 2 wins with a ERA of 1.27.

BUT, since off the DL he's had two starts with a 6.75 ERA.

So what do you guys think?

I was a little worried about the lack of hitting that the Yanks had early yest, but they definitely found their bats. I think they light up the scoreboard tonight. I can see a 7-4, 9-5 type game tonight. If the Aces were giving up runs last night, I would think Pavano and Pettite give up a handful too.

I'm on the Yanks (-1.5) +140, and the Over 8.5 (-135) as part of a Texas ML and San Fran ML parlay.

Risking $10 to win $14 on the Yanks RL, and $10 to win $49.50 on the parlay

            Facts:
            1) Pettitte is 8-0 in 9 starts vs. Twins
            2) Yankees are 6-0 in Minneapolis

I feel like the Twins have to much of a home field advantage to lose this must win. I played the Yankees yesterday only cuz CC is a big game pitcher. Twins got to him much to my surprise. Now with Pettite coming off the DL, I think the pitching advantage is on the Twins side + home field advantage + they seem to be hitting right now.

Yanks. Big. Twins are done. They're owned by this team.

But the Yankees pen isn't bad. Since you can always count on a 9th-inning shutout from Rivera, the Twins actually have only 8 innings in which they can score. I still like the Yankees here despite Pettitte's questionable health.

Just like the Red Sox owned the Angels and the Angels owned the Yankees until last year. Doesn't mean a thing the better will win.

Pavano allows too much contact to keep the Yankees at bay.

Do you think Pavano can holds down Yank batters? Their ace can't hold them down.

pettitte's health really is the only thing in question here. pavano pitcher a TON of innings this year and the lack of strikeouts shows that hitters are putting the ball into play more often than not. the yanks were at their worst and twins were at their best when liriano was getting them to swing and miss. pavano is not a strikeout pitcher and is VERY hittable, especially against the yanks hitters. the fact that pettitte owns the twins, is a lefty, and is one of the best postseason pitchers of all time should be enough to trump the doubts of his injury. even if pettitte isn't in top form tonight, it really shouldn't matter because pavano is due to get rocked by this lineup.

yanks ml, rl and the over.

Either yanks win it or it'll be a close game with a lot of runs.
