They didn't play inspirational baseball in the month of September, when they were competing for the division. If anything, they looked uninspired. They almost got swept at home, against a Phillies team that had nothing to play for the last weekend of the regular season.

Okay. Thats true. Lowe is still 5-5 in the playoffs all time. Thats not good enough for me. I am on the giants for the series not one game. Its the playoffs, square plays will win. Its all about the matchups. The Braves are a different team on the road. The giants want it more and you will see that thruout the series.

playoffs all about pitching and defense. its fairly obvious san fran has superior arms and atlanta's d particularly in the infield is dismal. this is the only divisional series i'm making a play on i love the play

Sanchez is the X-factor both in this series and in the postseason.

He has the stuff of a dominant No. 1 ace. If he turns the corner and is on his game throughout the playoffs, this team can get to the Series.

I'm worried about their hitting, though. Sandoval needs to be more like '09 from here on out. He was brutal this year. Guys like Huff and Burrell have been through the ringer, so they'll be fine. Can Torres keep it up?
